Once you get far enough into the game, you’ll obtain the nab sack spell. When close enough to a magical creature, players can use this spell and hit the interact key enough times to catch the creature. Larger creatures like Unicorns tend to need up to 5 or 6 key presses, while smaller creatures like Mooncalves only need a couple.

Best Spell Setup to Combo with Nab-Sack in Hogwarts Legacy

Disillusionment: Use this to sneak up to the creature you want to capture.

Arresto Momentum: Cast this on the creature once you’re close to it, and it’ll be unable to run away.

Nab-Sack: Once they’re slowed, quickly start using the Nab-Sack and using the interact key as many times as needed to catch the creature before Arresto Momentum wears off.

If you’re trying to capture a larger, more difficult, creature, you may need to cast Arresto Momentum on it twice, and chase after it a little.
